The country of Malaysia comprises Peninsular Malaysia at the west, neighbouring with Thailand and Singapore, and the states of Sabah and Sarawak at the island of Borneo, neighbouring countries Brunei and Kalimantan, Indonesia.
As Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia are the neighbour country of Malaysia, all these countries understood the Malay language. Only in Malaysia, the Malay language is known as Bahasa Malaysia (Malaysian Language) as the national language.
There are 13 states and three federal territories in Malaysia, each with their own flags and state anthems. The states are Perlis, Perak, Penang, Kedah, Selangor, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak. While the federal territories are Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya, which also serve as the administrative capital.
